The Director of Asset Performance is responsible leading the day-to-day operations for Geology, Reservoir Engineering and Reserves sub departments for EQT. This includes overseeing the technical evaluations and workflows associated with base and wedge production forecasts, project economics analyses & optimization studies, asset performance input assumptions for A&D opportunities, subsurface reservoir engineering planning, science planning, well design analysis and geological evaluations and simulation studies. This position will directly lead cross-functional geology, reservoir engineering and reserves & system forecasting teams focused quantifying and maximizing the value of our assets. This position will support finance, accounting, production, completions, drilling, operations planning, corporate development and executive departments on projects and work requests, for we and corporate reserves evaluation and management. The Director will manage a team of staff members to support these efforts and will work directly with Senior Management to progress the company's core strategies, maximize the value of our assets and realize the full potential of EQT!

The Director, Asset Performance responsibilities include but arenot limited to:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Asset Performance and execution of strategic initiatives and to ensure delivery of department goals
  • Oversees Geology, Reservoir Engineering, and Reserves sub departments to ensure alignment within the Asset Performance department
  • Manages and coordinates all AP sub departments and vendors
  • Ensures reserves compliance by meeting both internal and external SEC guidelines and maintains the relationship with our reserve's auditors
  • Monitors the sub-department performance to ensure on-time delivery of projects and sets appropriate case priorities
  • Leads asset evaluation opportunities to maximize the ultimate value of our assets
  • Supports geologic modeling and reservoir simulations
  • Provide regular updates to management on department performance, ensuring Qrew Metrics are being met and communicated clearly

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 10-20 years of combined experience in oil and gas upstream exploration, new ventures, reservoir engineering, reservoir modeling and simulation, operations engineering in production or facilities
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or petroleum engineering OR master's degree or higher in geosciences

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Responsible for oversight of SEC proved reserves preparation and reporting and other intra-year reports.
  • Expert in ARIES and experience with ComboCurve
  • Ability to interpret lease operating statements, track business performance, and make course correction recommendations as needed.
  • Background in reservoir simulation and/or technical reservoir engineering modeling and studies
  • Must love technology and always on the hunt for hot tech to evolve the way we work and jack horsepower
  • Leadership experience in unconventional geology, reservoir engineering, reserves, or asset teams
  • Technical expert in unconventional reservoirs, in reservoir engineering and/or reserves
  • Experience evaluating and underwriting A&D deals and leading discussions with bank groups
  • Leadership exposure to creating and developing plans and lookbacks on science tests and reservoir studies
  • Experience working Internal Audit and SOX Controls and independent Reserve Auditors

Remote work is approved for this role excluding the following states: Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Louisiana, New Jersey, and New York unless willing to relocate.
