Position Purpose:

The Sr. Finance Analyst is responsible for leading financial analysis for the Capital Planning and Engineering related activities. Primarily including reporting and analysis of Capital Expenditures, Fleet Expense, and Facility Related Expenses to the Key Business Stakeholders in Finance, Capital Planning, and Engineering. This person will work to synergize to Capital Planning Process and the drive enhanced quality and efficiency in our Capital Planning Process.

This position is a hybrid schedule located in our Bannockburn, IL office: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the office.

Key Job Activities:
  • Provide Month-End Reporting on Capital Expenditures, including Month-End Analysis of results against AOP, Forecast, and YoY.
  • Ownership of Facilities Expense for Month-End Reporting, Including Enhancing our Partnership with Facility Engineering and Capital Planning.
  • Ownership of Fleet Expense during reporting periods. Including Enhancing our Partnership with Fleet Management.
  • Responsible for Capital Investment Analysis of Business Decisions (Lease v. Buy).
  • Provide Ad-Hoc Finance Support to Engineering, Fleet, M&A, and Procurement on Ad-Hoc Projects.
  • Perform financial analysis of unit operations, including trends and comparisons to historical, budgeted and forecasted results. Communicates results to management in the form of standard and ad hoc reports, ensuring all parties in the decision-making process are kept informed.
  • Responsible for initial review of the Request for Appropriation (RFA) form provided by Capital Planning, ensuring adherence to Stericycle's Capital Planning Process Requirements.
  • Assist in the continous improvement of Stericycle's Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Cash Capex Reporting Packages, driving towards improved quality, efficiency, and usability of the information provided.
  • Review and Advise on Industrial Engineering's Business Analysis provided in Requests for Appropriation Forms.
  • Perform other related duties as required or requested. This includes, but is not limited to, providing support to finance and/or other teams and special projects as needed.
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience, preferably in Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Analytics or other relevant area.
  • Experience with financial modeling.
