Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the region.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment of financial goals with organizational objectives.

Risk Management:

  • Evaluate and manage financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes that may impact financial performance.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Communicate financial results and insights to the executive team and relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive transparency and accountability through clear and concise reporting mechanisms.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor and manage cash flow to optimize working capital and liquidity.
  • Implement strategies to improve cash conversion cycles and minimize financing costs.
  • Work closely with business leadership to ensure profitability and cash objectives are aligned and achieved.

Team Leadership:

  • Build and lead a high-performing cross functional team providing mentorship and guidance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance cross-functional teamwork and manage outcomes through influence.

Compliance and Auditing:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting principles and update financial policies accordingly.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

What You'll Need

  • Embrace and lead change effectively while maintaining that change within the company culture.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, ERP systems, and data visualization tools.
  • Strong sense of ownership and drive, including a desire and ability to dive into the details.
  • Experience developing and implementing processes, policies, and procedures for an entrepreneurial company.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, segregation of duties and internal controls.
  • This role should be comfortable with ambiguity and can "connect the dots" using their experience and expertise to navigate the organization to identify subject matter experts and find solutions to challenges.
  • Detail-oriented, highly analytical, and technical yet flexible, self-motivated, and big-picture minded.
  • Results oriented, high energy, inspirational and self-motivated leader.
  • The position is an office-based position with up to 30% travel.

Requirements:

Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • CPA/Master of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.

Minimum Experience: Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a similar senior financial role.

  • Finance leadership involving implementation/use of financial systems, including but not limited to system implementations at multi-billion-dollar, global companies.
