Supervisory Responsibilities: The Manager will manage five associates handling the Commercial Loan Bookings, Hazzard Insurance tracking and disbursals.

Job Summary: This position will manage a team that is responsible for the following processes:

  • Booking all Commercial Loans
  • Booking all Swaps
  • Booking all Letters of Credit
  • Managing Rate Changes
  • Tracking Hazard Insurance and Disbursing Premiums
  • Producing and Analyzing Reports related to Loans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Booking Loans:

  • Supervise the booking and documentation of commercial loans ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Support team in understanding complex loan packets to interpret how loans should be booked.
  • Ensure the team verifies that proper documentation is provided to support the loan approval.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies or issues related to Commercial Loan booking.
  • Stay current on Bank Loan Policy and Commercial Lending Operational Procedures.

Insurance Related to Loans:

  • Oversee the insurance requirements for loans.
  • Ensure that borrowers maintain adequate insurance coverage as per loan agreements and regulatory guidelines.
  • Disburse insurance premiums.
  • Work closely with insurance providers and borrowers to address any insurance-related issues.
  • Monitor Insurance reports that include policies that are outsourced.
  • Monitor Force-Placed Insurance List.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members.
  • Lead with a Servant Heart to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment focused on achieving departmental goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training opportunities to encourage professional growth and development.
  • Monitor and evaluate associate performance, providing regular feedback and implementing corrective actions when needed.

Ancillary Tasks:

  • Ensure periodic rate changes are completed timely and accurately.
  • Monitor and complete needed file maintenance.
  • Serve as backup for completing SCRA changes.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives.

Loan Operations Analyst:

  • Gather data and produce relevant reporting to meet regulatory needs.
  • Design and develop ad hoc reports for the department as needed.
  • Analyze data to identify patterns, trends and anomalies and make recommendations.
  • Serve as back-up to the Loan Operations Business Analyst
  • Assist in project management within the department, serving as the liaison to other departments.
  • Analyze existing loan processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve.
  • Work with Core provider to get issues resolved or enhancements made that better support Loan Operations.
  • Assist in system changes and enhancements that impact Loan Operations.
  • Continuously assess processes, reporting methodologies, data management, and analytical techniques to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Loan Operations.
  • Assist with gathering data for examiners.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Aptitude for advanced quantitative analysis utilizing large amounts of complex data.
  • Ability to query data using report software, SAP based knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to manipulate data using Excel filters, lookups, and pivot tables.
  • Familiarity with data cleaning and validation.
  • Aptitude for administration of software systems including advanced trouble shooting.
  • Familiarity with commercial loan booking processes.
  • Self-starter, motivated, and looking to provide value in all activities.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team and independently.
  • Ability to learn new information quickly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others (both written and verbally).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
  • Ability to listen and be able to extract pertinent information.
  • Ability to organize and manage projects of many sizes.
  • Deadline driven with a high degree of professionalism.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in Loan Operations; loan documentation booking experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business related field preferred

Department hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 CST.
