Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary
The Financial Aid Specialist will work on location at St. Augustine College in the Financial Aid Office. This position is responsible for providing customer service to both English and Spanish speaking customers through telephone and email communications. This position is also responsible to review and process all student files selected for verification and Comment Codes (C codes) in order to maintain compliance with Federal regulations.
Responsibilities
Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.

-Review all Comment Codes related to default, aggregate loan limits, Pell LEU, Income discrepancies, etc.
-Review and clear Pell multiple reporting and Pell over award reports
-Provide excellent bi-lingual customer service in English and Spanish via telephone and email
-Review and update accounts selected for verification
-Make follow-up phone calls or emails to new and returning students concerning the completion of their financial aid files.
-Serve on university committees and/or task forces as assigned.
-Attend seminars, training, and conferences as needed.
-Perform additional job related duties as delegated by the supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred with preference given to Business Administration. English/Spanish bilingual required.
Preferred Qualifications
Three or more years experience in financial aid or related field
