YOU
As an Associate Packer you will be responsible for assembling and packaging finished product; using SAP to perform labor scanning, label printing, and scanning confirmations; ensuring finished product meets quality specifications (including appearance); and obtaining and completing Production paperwork.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (% of Time)

Safely assemble and package finished products by properly labeling boxes; hanging hangers, nozzles, and labels on cartridges; filling bulk liquids; and packing containers in cartons with quality in mind. (70%)

Complete all Production paperwork, including Batch Record Retain forms, process orders, scrap sheets, and housekeeping checklists. (10%)

Utilize SAP to perform labor scans, print SAP labels, and scan confirmations. (10%)

Perform housekeeping. Verify shadow boards are appropriately stocked. (5%)

Participate in Huddle Board discussions, including providing safety suggestions and possible solutions. (5%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

If you can do everything listed above, you've got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

  • High school diploma is required.
  • SAP usage (including scan confirmations, label printing, and labor scanning) is preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Communication: Ability to write in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience. Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers, team members, and customers.
  • Organization: Complete all tasks in a timely, organized, and professional manner.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to solve problems and present new ideas creatively.
  • Work Ethic: Ability to be a self-starter, work independently, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Conflict Resolution: Ability to work well with various people. Ability to effectively resolve people issues and gain consensus.
  • Mathematical Reasoning: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reading Comprehension: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting and bending in a repetitive motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

This job does not requires travel.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in West Chicago, IL.

RELOCATION

Relocation is not available for this position.

PAY

$20.00 / hour
