As a Customer Service Representative at Arjo, you will work in a call center environment, providing product and process support to external and internal customers. Day-to-day functions will expose you to all parts of Arjo's operations and a variety of staff.

In this role, you will interact with all Arjo departments to provide the best possible service to all customers (internal and external) to improve their experience, while balancing customer satisfaction with the Arjo's best interests.

Day-to-Day Functions:

  • Provides customers with general product information, appropriate lead times, product availability, ship dates, freight rates, tracking shipments and providing proof of deliveries.
  • Identifies trends in customer feedback/issues and, by working with the Customer Care manager, communicates these throughout the Company. Suggests business improvements and solutions wherever possible.
  • Verifies all orders for accurate pricing and terms before order entry. Sends Customer Order Acknowledgements to customers within one day of order entry
  • Identifies and solves customer service issues (e.g. billing) by working across departmental lines and using business knowledge.
  • Identifies underlying issues/barriers to payment when receivables collection issues surface (disputes), suggests a payment plan if appropriate and brings customer up-to-date. Recognizes when issues are beyond scope of job and brings to the attention of the appropriate specialist.
  • Works in partnership with the Sales force to provide customer service and generate sales leads?
  • Performs miscellaneous tasks, such as entering orders accurately, assisting with service renewals and researching accounts, as needed.
  • Offers Customer Service and Sales Support functions as required by the business.
  • Participates in any and all reasonable work activities as assigned by management.

  • Ability to look at customer inquiries/issues from a financial perspective.
  • Ability to look at the long-term financial implications of decisions made regarding accounts and services provided to the customer.
  • Ability to handle complex phone system.
  • Requires flexibility in work schedule to help staff a department that serves customers across several time zones.
  • Must be able to learn complex and constantly changing business rules and take on a "total business" perspective.
  • Must be able to communicate policies & guidelines to customers in manner that ensures customer understanding and acceptance while keeping the Company's best interests in mind.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and weekends to meet business/customer needs.
  • Travel requirement: approximately 5-10%.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate or a completed GED. (Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred)
  • At least 1 year of successful call center experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook); ERP systems experience preferred. We use SAP.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to solve problems and make decisions quickly, balancing the best interests of the customer with those of Arjo.
  • Requires flexibility in work schedule to help staff a department that serves customers across several time zones.
