What You Can Expect

As our Manager of Project Delivery for the Distributed Solar and Storage team, you will lead a team of seven (7) Project Managers and Construction Managers responsible for subcontractor-led construction and commissioning activities for distributed solar and/or energy storage projects designed by our internal Engineering group. You will collaborate with leaders from various internal departments, including Project Development, Procurement, Operations, Asset Management, and Project Finance, to achieve yearly operational delivery goals. In this role, experience in managing both solar and storage construction projects, as well as demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams, is essential. This position can be based in Chicago, IL, reporting to the Director of Engineering & Delivery, Distributed Solar and Storage.

  • Ensure DSS delivery metrics are met annually, taking direct accountability for performance
  • Cultivate a growth-oriented environment within the team, focusing on training, process improvement, and compliance
  • Provide exceptional mentorship and leadership to the entire delivery team
  • Review and assess the project pipeline from Origination and Delivery teams to ensure selection of high-quality projects
  • Collaborate with legal to develop contracts for installation partners, addressing risks prior to mobilization
  • Interface with Central Procurement to streamline labor and material supply agreements, including negotiation of Master Services Agreements

What You'll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field experience
  • A minimum of seven (7) years' total experience in construction management of large, complex projects with the ability to acquire and maintain General Contractor Licenses
  • A minimum of 5 years' of project management experience in constructing solar or complex construction projects
  • You are Someone with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • You are proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • You possess hands-on experience with construction tools and equipment
  • You possess a valid driver's license

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy with a minimum of two (2) days working in office
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 50% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE's policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • The position consists of 30% work indoors and 70% work outdoors; outdoor work may expose the employee to weather conditions
  • Could involve some lifting / up to 50 lbs

Compensation

Salary Range: $128,400 - $196,765 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
