Job title: Global Payroll and Tax Analyst
Duration: 6 months (possible extension)
Work Location: North Chicago, IL 60064 - Hybrid - 3 days onsite; 2 days from home office.


Description:
Our Global Mobility Team is currently seeking a Global Mobility Payroll and Tax Analyst to join our team locally in a contract position in a dual role outlined below. The global mobility team manages the Client expatriate population as well as the domestic and international relocation programs. We have expatriates in over 45 countries around the world and hence, perform analysis in a wide array of currencies. As part of responsibilities the analyst will assist with the creation of data analytics tool/dashboard which will allow our business leaders insights regarding our relocation programs.

This professional will be engaged in assigned projects necessary to support the Global Mobility team which has several members outside of the US, and hence, will have exposure to global activities and processes within the company. The successful candidate will be expected to:
* Review and analyze expatriate tax and payroll results and pay slips in various currencies
* Navigate within the Workday environment and analyze data extracted from the platform
* Utilize vendor tools and source documents to validate Expatriate payroll production including tax ramifications
* Operate under general or minimum supervision, and perform duties with broad latitude for judgment
* Quickly synthesize data, determine implications, and make informed decisions often with large volumes of data
* Document, recommend, and make process improvements
* Present outcome of analysis to team members as well as leadership
* Tax Equalization review and collection
* Other duties as assigned
* Professional must be proficient in Excel including but not limited to using pivot tables, sorting, and filtering large volumes of data as well as analyzing data in excel pulled from various sources.

* Superior organizational skills, able to manage and prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks and projects effectively and efficiently.
* Exceptional attention to detail, adhere to instructions, maintain accuracy, be able to identify errors and execute high-quality work.
* Self-starter and ability to take initiative. Keen desire to learn.
* Advanced analytical and Excel skills (looking for power user)
* Effective verbal and written communication skills are imperative
* Superior customer service skills
* Ability to project manage several projects simultaneously

What is a nice to have (but not required) regarding skills, requirements, experience, education, or certification?
* 2-5 years of Global Mobility payroll and tax experience
* Knowledge of Access database is also a plus.
* Experience with Power Bi and Microsoft Teams environment preferred.
* Global mobility tax and payroll experience.
* Forward-thinking candidate.
* Access database experience.
* Power Bi or the like experience a plus.
* Microsoft Teams app power user preferred.
* Bi-lingual or multi-lingual.
