Job Description

Position Summary

This position is responsible for assisting with the close process and financial planning and analysis for the Aerospace and Defense Business Unit. Performs month-end closing, forecasting and reporting. Analyzes weekly P&L, Balance Sheet, Production, Working Capital performance and trends for year-over-year and sequential quarterly performance. Analyzes variance to budget and forecast. Interprets operating results, as they effect the financial aspects of the business unit and makes specific recommendations related to profit and working capital improvements. Assist in annual budgeting process. Supports strategic planning process. Monitor A/R and A/P performance. Assist in communicating and monitoring compliance and reporting requirements.

Experience and Skill Required

  • High energy with ability to roll up sleeves and multi-task
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is required
  • Master Degree/MBA or CPA required
  • Minimum of 3 years of finance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Cost Accounting experience preferred
  • Multiple plant exposure
  • Knowledge of GAAP is required
  • Proficiency with Hyperion/ One Stream is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrated cross functional team building
  • Ability to proactively build in process & culture
  • Demonstrated leadership and change agent
