Summary:

As the Director of E-commerce SID, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation, optimization, and strategic direction of our company's primary e-commerce website. You will lead a team of e-commerce professionals and digital marketers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance the user experience, drive sales growth, and maximize profitability.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for the division e-commerce websites, aligning with overall business objectives and marketing strategies.
  • Lead a team of web developers, designers, content creators, and digital marketers to ensure the website's functionality, usability, and performance meet industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Oversee or directly manage digital marketing channels across PPC, SEO, Display, affiliates and email marketing and social media
  • Manage all online activity in relation to traffic acquisition, sales, conversion, A/B testing and reporting
  • Optimize the e-commerce website for search engine visibility, user experience, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) to drive sales and revenue growth
  • Collaborate with product management, marketing, and sales teams to develop and implement online merchandising strategies, promotions, and campaigns to drive traffic acquisition, quality and sales growth
  • Work closely with product and fulfillment teams in order to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
  • Analyze website performance metrics, KPI dashboards and customer data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and use insights to inform decision-making and optimization efforts.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and technology partners to support website development, maintenance, and optimization efforts
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in e-commerce and digital marketing to continuously improve the website's performance and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to e-commerce operations, data privacy, accessibility and online security
  • Experienced P&L manager will develop the e-commerce site's budget and manage the resources efficiently and effectively to achieve revenue and profit objectives
  • Communicate regularly with senior management to provide updates on website performance, initiatives, strategic recommendations, forecasts, and countermeasures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer science, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years' experience in a similar role in e-commerce management, website development, digital marketing, or related roles, preferably in a manufacturing B2C or B2B environment
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing ($5M+) E-commerce websites to drive sales growth and achieve business objectives
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and external partners in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep understanding of e-commerce platforms (Adobe Magento preferred), technologies, and best practices, including website design, UX/UI principles, SEO, SEM, and CRO
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify insights, and make data-driven decisions to optimize website performance
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Workfront or Scrum, is a plus
  • Excellent understanding of UX, web design, customer flow and web analysis
  • Confidence in traffic analysis, reporting tools and optimization
  • Knowledge of Attribution modelling, website speed optimization, A/B testing, conversion management, sales journey optimization, traffic analysis and reporting tools
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes and driving continuous improvement
