Job Description

Job Duties

  • Positively contribute to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience in the GI Lab.
  • Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
  • Prepare patients for procedures and monitor their condition periodically
  • Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
  • Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
  • Perform quality rounds on medications and supplies and other equipment as applicable

Requirements

  • Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
  • Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
  • BLS/CPR and ACLS certification required (AHA)
  • Prior Critical Care/Emergency Department and conscious sedation experience highly preferred. Medical Surgical with telemetry monitoring experience preferred

Position Details

  • Day Shift with varies start times, rotating hours and rotating weekends
  • On-Call responsibility 1-2 days/week, and 2-4 weekends shifts in 6-week schedule
  • Travel to different NorthShore sites at times
