Odle Management - A subsidiary of Eckerd Connects

Reports to the Finance & Administration (F & A) Director and is a salaried, exempt position. Supports and manages the implementation and ongoing operation of networks, computers, and software applications. Helps identify, analyze, and clarify problems with SPAMIS, CMI, OASIS, EPMS and other Data Center systems. Works with the Job Corps Data Center (JCDC) to resolve ongoing problems and provide ongoing technical support for Campus staff and students, including software/application and hardware support. This role will also interface with other 3rd party resources to facilitate support and assist with coordination of field service and other technology implementation projects. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates and abides by ODLE/Eckerd Core Values and operating principles.
  • Answer Help Desk phone and create tickets
  • Creating and monitoring of support cases submitted via email
  • Setup and maintain IT asset inventory
  • Facilitate creation/maintenance of IT documents, job aids, check lists and resource materials for tasks performed in software applications
  • Provides technical support, training and guidance to center staff, on supported technology solutions and applications.
  • Manages and assists JCDC in the implementation of new networks, computers, and software applications.
  • Works with the Job Corps Data Center (JCDC), computer maintenance companies and software vendors in resolving problems.
  • Helps identify and clarify problems with the SPAMIS, CIS, OASIS, EPMS and other Data Center systems. Works with the JCDC to resolve ongoing problems.
  • Works with CIS systems to ensure that the Job Corps Information Manager system is compliant with Job Corps policies. Ensures that center staff regularly checks the interfaces between CIS and SPAMIS/Data Center for errors.
  • Identifies computer hardware and software problems and tracks those problems until they are solved. Makes recommendations to Senior Management, and escalated IT Support, as applicable.
  • Assists center staff in the acquisition of new computer equipment and peripherals in accordance with ODLE/Eckerd policies and the JCDC.
  • Assists center staff with computer cabling according to the specifications set by the JCDC.
  • Ensures that the EPMS is kept up to date with the proper information about the center's automated equipment.
  • Works with corporate headquarters IS staff in the installation of ODLE/Eckerd developed applications.
  • Ensures that network server backup tapes are changed and that the backups are being done by the JCDC, as applicable.
  • Obtains and maintains training resources for center staff.
  • Provides individual and group instruction, as needed, on the use of equipment and software applications and on network features.
  • Maintains knowledge of developments, updates and other requirements, as provided by JCDC, in the areas of network systems and hardware.
  • Provides assistance to other ODLE/Eckerd centers, as applicable and as requested.
  • Cultivates and maintain a climate on center that is free of harassment, intimidation, and disrespect to provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn.
  • Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills including personal responsibility and computer fluency.
  • Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property, adhere to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-years demonstrated technical competence supporting: Windows 7, 8, & 10, hardware (desktops, laptops, mobile devices/tablets, servers), Microsoft Office suite, and standard packaged software solutions.
  • Highly desired technical skills: experience supporting Remote Connectivity, Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktop Services, VOIP phone system, Active Directory, Windows 7, 8 & 10 OS, Office 365 for Business (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • Related Microsoft and/or Industry Standard Support and Technical Fundamentals certifications desired. Minimum of Three to five years' work-related experience providing support to SMB end-users in a formal ITSM Support environment.
  • Experience in local and wide area networks, including Cisco and Ubiquity, switches and WAPs,. Windows Desktop Operating Systems, Powershell and both command-line and GUI interface applications utilized in support of networking hardware
  • Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktop Services.
  • Knowledge and use of Veritas backup application, network devices (switches, routers, etc.) and architecture.
  • In-depth knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, routing, remote access, and remote file systems.
  • Valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record preferred.

  • Ability to manage timely, effective response to internal customer needs and effectively communicate project status as requested and required.
  • Ability to work at a detailed level while maintaining the 'big picture' of the overall business vision.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple, complex projects

Working Conditions: This position involves frequent sitting and occasional standing, bending, stooping, squatting, and walking. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Environmental Demands: Position requires ability to spend 5% of work time outside and 95% of work time indoors; ability to withstand moderate noise levels, including voice levels 95% of work time; ability to work in high temperature settings during the summer months; and ability to work in low temperature settings in winter months.
