What You Can Expect

As our Greenfield Land Specialist I, you will play a central role in early-stage project development across established and emerging distributed solar and storage markets in ENGIE North America. Your responsibilities will include supporting the sourcing of new project locations through site suitability reviews, lease and purchase option negotiations. You will collaborate with the Regional Development Teams to implement Greenfield Land Campaigns, including identifying landowners within prospective sites, initiating contact with individual landowners, communicating the value proposition of working with ENGIE, and negotiating contracts with landowners and/or their representatives for participation in proposed renewable energy projects.

  • Manage deadlines, multiple project objectives, project timelines and success criteria relating to the projects
  • Organize and maintain prospecting lists and produce regular reports for management regarding pipeline development of early stage project opportunities
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the terms and conditions of the Company's land agreements
  • Draft lease agreements, manage leasehold and related title documents, and identify/fulfill obligations relating to lease agreements to secure site control
  • Assist in overseeing third party land contractors and consultants while gaining experience with federal, state or local regulations as they relate to the development of renewable projects
  • Actively seek ways to improve efficiency of land contract procedures and policies

What You'll Bring

  • You hold an Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
  • This early career position does not require prior experience, you will be expected to deliver high-quality work in a professional setting. While not mandatory, exposure to real estate or renewable energy settings could be beneficial
  • You are detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, valuing inclusivity and diversity in team dynamics
  • You have the ability to manage multiple tasks while upholding high standards for quality, ethics, and accountability
  • You are open to challenging assumptions, providing and receiving constructive criticism, and driving creative solutions
  • You are proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Word, with knowledge of Google Earth; experience with Salesforce/CRM tools, project management, with a proactive approach that extends efforts beyond immediate tasks
  • You are exceptional in verbal and written communication, adept at presenting to diverse audiences, including ENGIE leadership, third-party developers, and potential customers

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; at office location
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 10% of the time
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE's policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Compensation

Salary Range: $84,000 - $128,000 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
