Wieland is hiring a General Laborer. Wieland Recycling - Granite City (formerly know as Totall Metal Recycling) currently has immediate openings for various manufacturing roles (including but not limited to Mobile Equipment Operators, Machine Operators, General Laborers, Forklift Operators, etc.) to perform semi-skilled functions to support manufacturing operations and production. These roles will be located at our Wieland Recycling facility in Granite City, IL.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience with metals is considered a plus!

Starting Pay: $18 per hour

Schedule: 7:00 am- 3:30 pm

General Laborer Responsibilities

Move materials using forklifts, transporters, pallet jacks, bobcats, etc.
• Comply with all safety rules and regulations, along with Company policies
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn in the manufacturing area
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition
• Tasks can vary from day to day
• Be dependable with respect to attendance and tardiness
• Be willing to work overtime as needed

General Laborer Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Mechanically inclined, comfort level with using small hand tools
• Proven forklift driving experience
• Ability to read and write English
• Ability to perform simple math, addition and subtraction
• Good decision-making skills
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
