Here is how the Asset Engineer role will impact our business:

The Asset Engineer is responsible for overseeing the accurate generation of production forecasts and provides engineering support for upstream and midstream project execution. Additionally, the role oversees production surveillance efforts, facilitates joint venture opportunity evaluations, and supports due diligence efforts for A&D opportunities.

The Asset Engineer responsibilities include but arenot limited to:

  • Using decline curve analysis, numerical modeling, and similar technical expertise, develop production forecasts in ComboCurve to support monthly forecasting cycles.
  • Perform production surveillance to identify performance issues and support the production team in efforts to remedy issues to maximize well EURs for both dry and liquids rich assets.
  • Provide project-based engineering support to EQT's Production, Midstream, and Commercial teams for production enhancement, flow assurance, and market optimization opportunities.
  • Support development planning through a deep understanding of gathering system hydraulics and the impacts on forecasting and well performance.
  • Deliver technical and risk analysis to evaluate well proposals, workovers, lease acquisition, and A&D opportunities to ensure projects are accretive to company performance metrics.
  • Lead project planning meetings with a cross-functional team and present project results to management.
  • Leverage modern coding skills and/or data visualization packages to develop insights and reports to maximize role efficiency and support stakeholder needs.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical, or petroleum engineering
  • Active ComboCurve user, with CC for Reserves, CC for Production Engineers, or Deal Evaluation certification
  • Proficency in PowerBI or Spotfire is required
  • R/SQL/Python experience is highly recommended
  • Some operational experience in Production, Midstream, Completions, or Facilities Engineering is preferred
  • Strong computer skills and effective application of software programs
  • Ability to contribute in a team environment
  • Effective communication skills in both oral and written form, including technical writing
  • Knowledge of engineering concepts, fundamentals and theory
  • Ability to think analytically and be curious to solve basic problems

The selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.

Remote work is approved for this role excluding the following states: Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Louisiana, New Jersey, and New York unless willing to relocate.
