JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the technical support of our bearings operations working in a lean manufacturing environment. Works with cross-functional collaboration, people development, and project execution working directly with site and functional leadership. Collaborates with management in selecting and prioritization of projects, leaders and champions align with business/functional goals and strategies. Coaches, mentors, and develops site/functional team members through training, Kaizen events and continuous improvement events to effectively utilize performance excellence tools, methodologies and philosophies to drive performance excellence. Additionally, the position will work with Procurement/Supply Chain department to determine the best cost solutions for Regal Rexnord. Execute projects within the department/plant. Direct and continuous interactions with Operations, Procurement, Sales & Marketing is required, as is interaction with remote engineering resources.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead, support and implement process improvement utilizing lean concepts. i.e. 6s, defect reduction, effective daily management, process improvement techniques.
  • Exemplify the culture of continuous improvement and simplification across the organization.
  • Develop as a site/functional team member through training, Kaizens and RBS tools to effectively utilize performance tools, methodologies and philosophies to drive performance excellence.
  • Works with site or functional leadership to develop current and future Value Streams, standard work, sustained stability to achieve operating goals.
  • Follow Regal Rexnord Ethics and Safety programs
  • Follow State and Federal Environmental Compliance Programs.
  • Adhere to all export, import and supply chain security policy requirements relevant to the position.
  • Perform other assignments as assigned.

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial or Materials.
  • Experience: 0 to 5 years engineering experience (full-time and/or co-op) in a manufacturing environment or a combination of manufacturing and quality engineering.
  • Skills:
    • CNC Programming
    • CAD and drafting knowledge
    • Competent in Microsoft computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Verbal and written communications and presentation skills with all levels of employees and management.
    • Ability to adjust to varying priorities and project lists.
