Job Title: Head Girls Wresting Coach
Department: Athletics
Reports to: Director of Athletics as coach; appropriate Department Chair/Coordinator; Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction if faculty member
Supervises: Assistant Coaches

Minumum Stipend Amount: $9,189

Overview:
New Trier seeks a candidate that will successfully implement, on behalf of students, the school's institutional and departmental missions. Key components of the position include: supervising, advising, and supporting assistant coaches; training New Trier student athletes in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training necessary to meet the program goals; implementing IHSA and Central Suburban League policies and regulations; and promoting girls wresting within and outside the school community.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five years coaching experience complemented by strong athletic and professional references preferred
  • Strong secondary education teaching credentials and experience preferred
  • Possession of or ability to obtain Standard Illinois State Board of Education teaching certificate

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise, advise, and support assistant coaches
  • Train New Trier athletes in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training necessary to meet the program goals
  • Implement IHSA and Central Suburban League policies and regulations
  • Promote wrestling within and outside the school community
  • Successfully implement, on behalf of the students, the school's institutional and departmental missions
