ChampionX has an immediate need for an Automation Sales Representative to support the regional sales in South Texas. The sales position independently manages the SMARTEN Automation (artificial lift) portfolio with significant accountability to gain new business in the assigned territory.

What You Will Do:

  • Establish new customer prospects within the assigned territory South Texas for the SMARTEN Automation product line including, SMARTEN Controllers and Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)

  • Manage existing customer relationships

  • Strategically consult with prospective customers to listen to and identify needs, then provide solutions based on our service offerings that capture the customer's interest and meets or exceeds their expectations.

  • Partner with Technical Sales Engineers to deliver technical presentations that provide solutions to customers through our Spirit Automation Products

  • Develop and negotiate pricing/contracts with customers.

  • Provide sales forecast for the assigned territory and maintain sales activity through Salesforce.

  • Effectively utilize sales tools such as, sales processes, marketing materials, technical sales presentations, and training tools to effectively achieve sales goals.

  • Travel to regional location across S. Texas to meet with customers and conduct training and sales calls

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years of overall sales experience in the oil & gas industry

  • Bachelor's Degree or a combination of formal training and relevant sales experience

  • Strong sales network within oil & gas industry with a proven success in acquiring new customers.

  • Excellent consultative skills: the ability to listen to and identify needs, then provide solutions that capture the customer's interest and meets or exceeds their expectations

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Good computers skills, including Microsoft Office suite

  • Ability to use a CRM tool

  • Valid drivers license in the state of residence

  • Available for inter-regional travel up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Artificial Lift and Well Optimization.

  • Familiarity with Oil and Gas control and measurement systems.

  • Familiarity with Variable Frequency Drive/Variable Speed Drive integration and control.

Physical Demands

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

  • The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

  • Ability to lift 10 lbs.

  • Role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.
