Overview

As the Solutions Director for our AI practice, you will be responsible for helping to set the strategy and go-to-market plans for current and emerging AI solutions. Your role will involve building and implementing an AI strategy that will align with our business goals, developing and maintaining our competitive edge, and delivering innovative solutions to our clients. You will collaborate with our sales organization and national delivery teams to refine, simplify, and differentiate our advanced solutions, while building go-to-market plans for introduction of new, emerging technology solutions. This position will offer you the opportunity to work with cross-functional supporting groups, and sales regions, to develop packaged solutions that deliver profitability and sustainable growth for these services and technologies. You will also be engaging with ePlus customers, prospects, and partners to evangelize our solutions and offerings.

YOUR IMPACT

The Solutions Director serves in a national position while working closely with internal support functions, regional sales teams and key OEM and services partners. The Solutions Director must serve as a sales and technical evangelist, thought leader, manager, and enabler for all identified solutions initiatives, both internal and external, and must be able to create value through both direct and indirect team-building initiatives.

The essential functions of this position include:

  • Strategy
    • Define and refine the strategy of the ePlus AI practice
    • Define key metrics for measuring success of the practice
    • Identify emerging AI trends and technologies
    • Identify and develop a partner ecosystem to support services growth
    • Solicit feedback from customers, partners, analysts and our field organization
    • Assess market requirements and market demand to define compelling service and business impacting solutions
  • Sales and Engineering Enablement
    • Develop and mentor a team of regional ePlus AI "champions"
    • Prepare and package AI solutions for sales and delivery
    • Create sales tools and materials such as use cases and proposal templates
    • Develop "Why ePlus for AI" presentations for customers and partners
    • Support the field by helping to create assessment and workshop offerings for ePlus AI solutions
  • Solutions Development
    • Collaborate with National and Regional Services leadership to develop new AI solutions
    • Work with regions and business development teams to drive AI sales campaigns
    • Develop ideas to improve AI services and solutions penetration rate
    • Develop plans to enable AI training across the company
    • Collaborate with marketing to identify market segments, positioning and competitors
    • Collaborate to create value proposition and go-to market strategy
    • Assess market requirements and market demand
    • Define compelling service and business impacting solutions offerings
  • Business Development
    • Identify strategic and tactical OEM and services partnerships
    • Identify and enable regional AI Sales "Champions"
    • Identify, evaluate, and execute on optimization and expansion of ePlus AI solutions
    • Proactively work with business team leaders to achieve AI sales targets
    • Develop incentive programs for the field to drive adoption of new offerings
  • Marketing
    • Evaluate emerging AI market trends and directions to accelerate solution adoption
    • Build credibility by establishing ePlus as an authority on AI solutions
    • Expand industry awareness through multiple forms of media
    • Align with marketing to create content
      • Presentations
      • Infographics
      • Videos
      • Blogs

As a manager, you are also expected to:

  • Lead and guide team members, fostering growth through mentoring, coaching, and development, while ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred
  • 10 years of progressively successful career progression within an IT related industry
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in AI solutions
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with practice / business development leadership
  • Business and Management
    • Previous success managing a profit and loss for a line of business
    • Previous success developing partnerships between different, independent entities
    • Previous success in sales and relationship-building roles
    • Previous success in managing and delivering IT projects, on time and on budget
  • Personal
    • Strong organization skills, presentation skills and acute attention-to-detail
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, challenging work environment
    • Ability to adapt and learn new technologies, products, and processes in a short timeframe

POSITION SPECIFICS

The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $180,000 and $120,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
