What is the opportunity?

Executes trade orders in the Over-The-Counter (OTC) market and evaluates market volatility in order to ensure that clients obtain the best possible price. Applies complete knowledge, skills, and practices to perform assignments.

What will you do?

  • Support 24-hour desk operational functions.
  • Market Fixed Income, Commodity and Index Futures Clients.
  • Grow and maintain client base from sales referrals and existing relationships.
  • Produce and distribute real time market commentary.
  • Execute trades electronically.
  • Proactively identify operational risks/ control deficiencies in the business.
  • Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities.
  • Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions promptly.
  • Ensure that employees understand RBC vision, as well as support and reinforce targeted behaviors that contribute to RBC goals.
  • Provide focus and clarity in establishing individual goals, driving performance management, supporting career development and rewarding strong performance.
  • Leverage the value in unit, department, and enterprise wide teams to develop better solutions and achieve a cross enterprise mindset.
  • Accept and successfully execute change while supporting employees through the process, and keeping them focused on business priorities.
  • Review new and updated Firm Policies applicable to your business and communicate such Firm Policies to employees for whom you have supervisory responsibilities.
  • In carrying out your supervisory responsibilities, review for indications of non-compliance with Firm Polices, notify the appropriate risk and control areas of such indications, and work with the relevant risk and control areas to remediate issues on a timely basis.
  • Identify, assess and manage operational risks/control deficiencies in the business.
  • Work hours: This position is primarily for 2nd or 3rd shift.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail.
  • 5-7 years of work experience in similar role.
  • Licensing: Series 3.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Required skills: Financial Markets; Investments; Market Risk; Oral Communications; Teamwork; Trade Execution; Written Communication.
