Position Highlights:

• Anesthesia Technician - Main Operating Room
• Location: Northwest Community Hospital - Arlington Heights, IL
• Full Time, Evenings
• 2:00pm - 10:30pm
• Weekend as needed

What you will need:

• The level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of four years of high school.
• Patient Care Technician with one year PCT experience, or, EMT with one year EMT experience, or, High School graduate with one year Anesthesia Tech experience, or A.A. (or) A.S. degree (or greater) with no clinical experience.

General Summary:

• Prepares the operating room suite for hemodynamic monitoring and the administration of anesthesia during surgical procedures; sets up disposable transducer and irrigation systems for invasive monitoring access.
• Assists anesthesiologist throughout perioperative case with hemodynamic monitoring as assigned.
• Assists in lab analysis upon completion of competency testing; performs required quality control activities to ensure the accuracy of the monitoring machines.
• Assists in preparing patients in the pre-surgical preparation area per anesthesiologist's request.
• Assists anesthesiologist with supply, equipment, and positioning needs throughout the perioperative period under the direct supervision of a physician; obtains supply trays and drugs as requested by the physician. May be authorized to access secured medication storage locations to perform job related functions.
