As a Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for creating the next generation of new leading-edge innovations in LED drivers & Connected Systems for the North American Lighting market by working cross functionally and with a highly talented, diverse, dynamic R&D team in Rosemont and globally.

What you'll doWork in a R&D lab environment, assisting architects and design-in engineers to ideate and build new and innovative electronic LED driver and System propositions.
Modify initial concept prototypes based on customer feedback and conduct testing and data analysis to validate desired performance with customers.
Support the development and launch of new LED drivers and Systems by being part of a global R&D team.
Conduct application and system testing and provide feedback from customers on the performance of engineering prototypes throughout the development process.
Conduct regular competitor benchmarking, application testing, and tear down analysis and document key findings and learnings to update new product roadmaps.
Assist with lab equipment calibration, maintenance, and building and setting up product demos for customer visits and at product trade fairs.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or related, with 2+ years of work experience in the design and product development of electronic products
Good knowledge of electrical and electronic components and hands-on experience in building and troubleshooting electronic circuits and products
Familiarity with lab processes and equipment usage: oscilloscopes, power analyzers, spectrum analyzers, multi-meters, function generators, thermal, and humidity chambers
Knowledge and experience with power electronics, LED lighting products and controls, and using programming and software tools (i.e., mobile apps for commissioning and configuration of Systems) is a plus
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to thrive and adapt in a cross-functional team environment involving internal and external customers stakeholders, juggle multiple projects, and work with minimum supervision

Salary:$74,400 - 109,120
Bonus:target bonus opportunity - 5%
