Staff Data Security Engineer (Hybrid - Phoenix, Denver, Chicago, Dallas, Boston)

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership and drive the design and implementation of Data security initiatives.
  • Design, implement, and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) solutions to protect Teladoc's data across endpoints, cloud, and SaaS environments.
  • Present solution designs, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans to senior leaders and cross-functional teams and gain stakeholder buy-in through effective communication, relationship building, and influence.
  • Design and implement Microsoft Cloud App Security to gain visibility into sanctioned and unsanctioned cloud app usage.
  • Design, Deploy, and integrate Microsoft Information Protection for data classification, retention, and loss prevention.
  • Implement Purview's data lineage and integrate it with information protection for persistent data protection.
  • Utilize Microsoft security and compliance centers to unify policy management, posture assessment, and data protection.
  • Implement solutions to enhance Zero Trust architectures through layered defenses, redundancy, and assumption of breach.
  • Automate remediation of security controls for continuous compliance, leveraging power platforms or function apps.
  • Integrate Cloud Apps, Information protection solutions with Microsoft Sentinel platform to monitor security events and enable Automation.
  • Perform threat modeling, data security validation, and support incident response activities.

Candidate Profile

  • You have 8+ years of work experience in Data Security or Cloud security.
  • Experience with Enterprise Data management technologies, DLP, DSPM, and CASB.
  • Hands on experience implementing Microsoft security technologies and solutions.
  • Strong technical acumen to analyze needs, architect solutions, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Experience with the Zero Trust framework, data security principle, data governance best practices, and compliance regulations.
  • You have extensive experience with Microsoft 365 Defender and Defender for Cloud services.
  • Experience in Automation, configuration, and provisioning infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, ARM, or BICEP & CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub CI), etc.
  • Experience implementing Power Apps, Power Automate, and Azure functions.
  • Experience with Microsoft graph security APIs
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities

The base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $180,000.In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here:. Total compensation is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information applies to all full-time positions.
