Description

LSSI hasFull-Time positions available Direct Support Persons (DSP).Provide a clean and safe home for the resident. To perform direct care and give assistance to a high need individual in their home in accordance with the individual's personal plan.
Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00PM to 10:00PM

EssentialFunctions:
  • Manage and supervise the daily routines of the resident's living environment.
  • Provide high need residents with direct care assistance as required or identified.
  • Provide accurate and current documentation relative to residents and their home.
  • Commit to and actively participate in following all procedures identified by supervisor.
  • Actively assure that the living environment is kept clean and safe and completing special assigned duties.
  • Accompany residents on community outings; participate in scheduled activities enthusiastically.
  • Perform all scheduled safety drills, document and turn into supervisor.
  • Work personally with the residents assisting with scheduled programs as determined by the personal plan.
  • Prepare and serve meals as planned per dietician or adopted menus.
  • Act as mandated reporters, ensuring the residents are treated fairly and respectfully at all times.
  • Performs other related tasks as needed.
Position Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • DSP Certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, presentation and pc/computer skills (including proficiency with Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) along with other related software.
  • Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage bodily.
  • Injury, property damage if using own vehicle to transport.
  • Valid Illinois driver's license and proof of automobile liability insurance preferred.
