Position Summary

Partner directly with assigned client group leaders and teams to build high-performing and engaged teams aligning with organizational goals and objectives. Works closely with HR SMEs to design an implements people-related solutions that will positively impact business goals and align to company strategy. This role will report to the Chief People Officer and has 3 HR direct/indirect reports. Overall responsibility for HR service delivery to multiple business units including partnering with the business unit president, his/her leadership team including all functions. Also has HQ responsibility for all functions including IT, Finance, Marketing, Procurement and overall responsibility for HR delivery for 5 plants across the U.S.


Major Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes HR initiatives aligned with the strategic plan and foster organizational and people capability to drive business results.
  • Be a business-focused HR thought leader, change agent and Diversity & Inclusion driver focused on achieving business goals by enhancing leadership capabilities and the whole talent experience.
  • Lead plant HR team members and support all facets of plant HR needs including robust staffing strategy, building engagement, building talent pipeline, conducting investigations, ensuring effective and timely onboarding and ensuring effective communication of company goals and priorities.
  • Maintain a full understanding of and provide input into the client group's key business objectives; align talent strategies to client group
  • Use data to help drive productivity and performance.
  • Translate business needs into talent plans including strategic partnership in recruitment, driving engagement and building talent pipelines.
  • Ensure compliance of human resource policy and procedure; monitor and make recommendation for adjustment where necessary to stay competitive or address unmet need.
  • Execute strategic talent management initiatives including succession planning, development planning, workforce planning, merit planning and performance management.
  • Implement HR programs to deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Partner with other HR team members (e.g. compensation, benefits, learning and development) to ensure cohesive delivery of HR programs and services and ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Foster partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or Business-related field. Master's degree and/or PHR or SPHR a plus
  • At least 10 years of Human Resource Generalist or Business Partner experience in both business-facing and functional client groups
  • Experience with delivering HR in complex plant environments (multi-site experience)
  • Experience developing strategic partnerships with senior management and influencing key business decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing HR initiatives that positively impact business results.
  • Ability to effectively translate HR requirements into system configurations and optimizations, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with organization objectives.
  • Solid experience in all aspects of employee relations and compliance.
  • Strong experience in either Compensation/Total Reward or Talent Management a plus
  • 25% - 30% Travel

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Strong influencing skills with people/teams and experience operating successfully in a complex organization with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and facilitating teams to identify and implement solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle pressures of deadlines, diverse assignment loads and high work volumes.
  • Strong employee relations and investigations experience
  • Experience applying business and financial acumen to build cost/benefit analysis to justify investment in HR and people strategies.
  • Ability to complete compensation reviews and recommend salary levels considering internal and external equity.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
