Job Description

Pay Range: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour.

Brief Description

Inspection of simple product configurations through the use of single element gauging.

Uses fixed or variable measuring instruments to inspect parts, products and/or processes and ensure conformance with standards. Checks for irregularities and defects. Verifies specified dimensions on products or materials. Duties and tasks are standardized. Resolves routine questions and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher levels.

Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ability to both read and interpret the requirements of drawings and planning's
  • Ability to analyze planning requirements and make sound determination(s) of the appropriate inspection method to be used for product acceptance.
  • Ability to use all standard "Go/No Go" inspection equipment required to determine product acceptance; possess ability to operate "Single Element" gauging (calipers/micrometers) under the instructions of either a higher level Inspector.
  • Ability to apply visual inspection techniques and perform "Go/No Go" gage type inspections; possess aptitude/ability to perform required inspections using simple inspection set-up(s) constructed by either a higher level Inspector.
  • Aptitude/ability to initiate and complete, with proper instruction, all quality (Inspection) related records and documents under direct supervision

Desirable Experience, Capabilities and Success Factors

  • Minimum of two (2) years prior experience in a job related manufacturing environment.
  • Possess aptitude to perform simple (single element) part inspections under minimal supervision.
  • Per ITAR requirements must be a US Person (a US Citizen or a permanent resident card holder). This position is subject to policies and procedures set forth by the State Department and applicants who do not meet such requirements will not be eligible for the position.
