Our Corporate Information Services team is searching for a SAP Basis Analyst within our SAP Technology group based in Schaumburg, IL. Reporting to the Senior Manager of SAP Infrastructure and Operational Technology. This role will work with technical resources across geographies with a primary focus on supporting SAP and peripheral systems. In addition, the analyst will be responsible for providing system architecture support for various SAP Functional projects, as well as the planning and execution of technical upgrades and enhancements projects.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
  • Support technical resources in different geography/regions and ensure our SLAs are maintained.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, monitoring, and performance tuning, and troubleshooting of the following SAP systems: ECC and GRC.
  • Maintain peripheral systems that integrate with the SAP ERP system including Vertex, Paymetric, and MoveIT
  • Support periodic processes related to audit and monitor change control for audit adherence.
  • Work with the 3rd Party Hosting Provider and ensure they meet the established SLAs for the backups and restores, disaster recovery, and high availability targets of our SAP-hosted systems.
  • Coordinate system copies and landscape synchronization.
  • Advises on SAP Upgrades, Database Tuning, Application Backups, Failover, and Application Troubleshooting. Interact with system owners and occasionally acts as a technical lead for large projects.
  • Support the design of SAP Security and Role design/development in accordance with best practices
  • Effectively interface and collaborate with other IT infrastructure, email, security, server, storage, and networking teams.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
  • Stay abreast of SAP roadmaps, development, and OSS notes to help improve the current platform.
  • Create and maintain team documentation leading to best practices, standardization, and service desk support.
  • Engage and partner with other SAP teams, process owners, and key business stakeholders on solution design and implementation.
  • Assist with the implementation of projects, including requirements gathering, detailed design, configuration, testing, data prep, training, and conversion.
  • Develop relationships with key business partners built on trust and transparency.
  • Resolve production support incidents/respond to user inquiries.
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
  • Bachelors degree in computer technology preferred.
  • 2-5 years of SAP Basis Administration experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in a NetWeaver 7.0 or higher environment
  • 2+ years of experience supporting SAP in a Hosted environment
  • 1+ years of experience in S/4HANA desired.
  • Knowledge managing SAP with Oracle database desired including: backup, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of SAP user maintenance, security, and authorization.
  • Experience with Enhancement Packages, ABAP, and Java stack administration, including system copies.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • This is a hybrid postion requiring at least 3 days per week in the office.
  • % Travel 10-15%
