QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Maintenance Mechanic at a company in Waukegan, IL. This is a direct hire position for 2nd shift. Apply today!

Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and repair on material handling and packing equipment
- Implement and install equipment, production lines and custom solutions
- Diagnose, repair or adjust machines during production runs
- Verify line clearances and setups to ensure quality standards are met
- Perform comprehensive electrical diagnosis and wiring.
- Assist with robotics repairs and maintenance
- Perform and close out work order requests
- Review production schedule and perform machine set-up, tear-down and necessary adjustments
- Lead production changeovers and setups
- Perform preventative maintenance checks during production and take appropriate corrective action
- Order, catalog, and track materials, tools, and parts inventory necessary for maintenance and operations
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools
- Perform Lock Out Tag Out procedures

Requirements for Maintenance Mechanic:
- At least five years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Experience with packaging machinery desired
- Computer literacy is a plus (email, reports, CMMS, and WO management)
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Able to read SDS and follow the instructions on labels
