Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE: The Original Equipment (OE) Technical/Account Executive position is responsible for developing new opportunities, including new sales, and establishing relationships with engineers and technical representatives with OEs in the Light Duty, EV, Heavy Duty, & Off-Highway channel segment.


DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for obtaining OE technical approvals, securing new factory fill and service fill business, developing, and maintaining an opportunity pipeline, and communicating technical and product information to new and existing customers.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development to drive strategies based on OE feedback, new and emerging technologies, and global market trends.

  • Develop sales opportunities including new pipelines by leveraging relationships, networking, joining, participating, and presenting at OEM related associations & organizations.

  • Manage and develop technical relationships with existing and perspective OEM customers.

  • Lead all OEM field trials, support technical projects, and provide analysis to secure OEM approvals and solve warranty and component failures.

  • Ongoing development and understanding of new and emerging technologies in the OEM space, with the intent to use that knowledge to promote new opportunities, product solutions, and sales growth.

  • Collaborate with various cross functional teams to support the development and execution of an OEM sales strategy.

  • Generate technical specifications and documents.

  • Intimately understand customer's environment, market, and strategic priorities to build value propositions and solutions.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, or equivalent degree in engineering or a related technical or scientific subject.

  • 7-10 years' experience of either Engineering, Business or Sales in the Automotive Industry.

  • Thorough and in-depth knowledge of antifreeze technologies, washer fluid, DEF, heat transfer fluid, ICE engines, BEV applications, fuel cell, and new/emerging technologies.

  • Ability to become proficient in new and emerging technologies in the automotive, EV, HD, and Off Highway Channel Segments.

  • Must have established relationships with OEM's, an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the OEM market and competitive landscape.
