Because of our growth, we are seeking an experienced Survey Party Chief in the Miami area.

As we grow, we're seeking people who are career oriented, passionate about what they do, and interested in growing in this industry. This Survey Party Chief will have conventional and GPS surveying experience and will join our team in Woolpert' s Miami, FL office.

Demonstrate proficient knowledge of survey control networks, route surveying, boundary surveying, topographic surveying, and construction staking
• Read an interpret maps and engineering plans
• Search for and identify property monuments
• Determine sewer and storm pipe connectivity
• Document the work completed each day and communicate survey results and any issues to the rest of the team
• Train and educate junior level teammates
• Utilize Trimble and Leica hardware, robotic total stations, Trimble Access, and TBC

• The successful candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in surveying
• Knowledge of basic surveying principles
• Knowledge of total station, GPS, and digital level setup and operation
• Experience in line coding when completing topographic surveys
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work regular overtime
• Must possess good communication skills and be computer literate
• Must have valid driver's license and be willing to travel as necessary
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Terrestrial scanning experience is a plus
• Basic experience in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation CAD platforms is a plus
• Subsurface Utility Engineering experience is a plus
• Experience with Miami Dade survey standards a plus
