About the role:

We're looking for an Global Account Director, Congress to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will drive strategic business initiatives and optimize the way we do business with key client accounts. You will be focused on many areas including program strategy, innovation, financial performance, quality of service, preferred vendor performance, business development and client retention. This role will have you leading, collaborating, challenging the status quo, and constantly reaching for the next step with your customer. As a Global Account Director you will:

  • Own BCD M&E's relationship with a key global customer.
  • Work with the client to develop strategic business objectives for the congress program focused both on client and BCD M&E objectives.
  • Manage internal and external financials, ensuring we accurately communicate budgets to the client while maintaining BCD M&E's profitability.
  • Be responsible for contract negotiation, management, renewals and expansions.
  • Oversee the stakeholder engagement strategy for the account, including determining key messaging.
  • Oversee operational performance and team culture in partnership with the Global Director of Operations.

You're good at:

  • Building strong and trustworthy relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Implementing and managing accounts.
  • Budget and cost management.
  • Reporting and data analytics with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Identifying opportunities through business and industry trends with consultative approach on client recommendations.
  • Proposal development and presentations.

You must also have:

  • Experience in life sciences meetings and congresses. Experience with Pharmaceutical Meetings Management is a must have for this role.
  • Regional and global account management within the Meetings & Events Industry.
  • A desire to work in a global team environment.

You should know:

  • This role is virtual and operates in the Eastern or Central time zone.
  • Our standard hours are 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM with an hour break.
  • You will need to travel to our client's office and onsite to medical congresses. Travel for this position is about 25% - 35%

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Global Account Director, Congress is between $90,000 - $120,000 The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
