First Merchants Bank is seeking a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program Manager to join our team! The CSR Program Manager will be responsible for implementation of effective programs, overseeing activities and details, and measuring overall success. The duties will consist of coordinating various administrative tasks, tracking outcome, the budget, and ensuring that the program meets company CSR goals.

As part of this role you will:

  • Manage and optimize our volunteerism software platform, ensuring smooth registration, communication, and tracking of volunteer activities.
  • Coordinate the review and processing of contribution and grant requests with community organizations, adhering to established guidelines and ensuring efficient approvals.
  • Provide support and oversee the daily operational, administrative, and logistical activities of CSR.
  • Assist with department's collaboration with lines of business leaders to implement program initiatives aligning with CSR goals, providing logistical support and communication.
  • Assist with data management and reporting by gathering, analyzing, and presenting CSR data to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Provide support in Fair Lending and CSR initiatives by assisting with research, reporting, and implementation of community development programs.
  • Collaborate with other departments on key projects, such as marketing, communications, and legal, to ensure alignment and success.
  • Assist on key bank projects that contribute to broader CSR goals, providing analytical and administrative support.
  • Manager CSR Webpage.
  • Create and update internal and external presentations to encourage consistent messaging and outcomes.
  • Assist in reporting associated with regulatory examinations by gathering and compiling relevant data related to CSR activities.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends in CSR and recommend innovative ways to enhance our programs.
  • Support the development and implementation of new CSR initiatives aligned with company strategy.

To be successful in this position, we require the following:

  • Bachelor's degree OR associate degree/ two (2) years of college + two (2) years of related work/military experience OR four (4) years of related work/military experience (plus any additional required experience).
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience working with program management.
  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a financial institution with a working knowledge of Bank regulations as it relates to Corporate Social Responsibility/Compliance.
