Neurophysiology Tech

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Neurophysiology Tech

  • Location: Glenbrook Hospital (Glenview, IL)

  • Full Time/Part Time: Full-time

  • Hours: Hours will rotate Monday-Friday between 6:45am-5:00pm

  • On-Call: Every 5-8 weeks (week days and weekends), depending on staffing

  • Travel: Travel to all four hospitals (Skokie, Highland Park, Glenbrook, Evanston, Lincolnshire, and Wilmette) is required

What you will do:

  • Perform routine Electroencephalograms (EEG's)

  • Perform response tests

  • Perform EMG/NCV tests

  • Perform Autonomic Testing

  • Intraoperative monitoring

  • Take part in On-Call program

  • Assist in day to day operations as needed, as well as participate in training of junior technologists.

What you will need:

  • Education: High School Diploma required. Graduate from Neurophysiology Program and/or Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Certification: EEG, EP, or CNCT certification preferred. CNIM certification preferred.

  • Experience: One year experience as a neurophysiology technologist required. IOM experience preferred. Three years of experience preferred

  • Unique or Preferred Skills: College level neuroanatomy is desirable. Competency in medical terminology. Must be patient, have good interpersonal skills and be able to treat patients of various ages (babies to geriatric adults), backgrounds, with and without mental and/or physical limitations with respect and dignity. Must be able to work as a team player (i.e. with physicians, other medical staff, colleagues and administration).
