Your Role at Baxter:

The Technical Accounting Senior Treasury Analyst will develop and implement controls and analytics over treasury-related income statement and balance sheet accounts as well as associated cash flows. You will collaborate and liaise with cross functional teams to guide and ensure appropriate accounting is applied to all applicable transactions. Vantive's Treasury Accounting function is established to provide accounting governance over global treasury-related transactions

What You'll be Doing:

  • Partner with Treasury, Tax and Legal departments to establish governance over significant internal and external cash and intercompany transactions and provide accounting guidance as required
  • Responsible for the accounting for treasury-related transactions including but not limited to multi-currency transactions and foreign exchange gains/losses, certain investment and debt transactions including interest income/expense, real estate transactions, insurance etc.
  • Craft and perform analytics over global treasury-related account balances and present to the Controller's Leadership Team on a monthly basis Review or prepare journal entries, along with supporting schedules, arising during month-end close for treasury-related accounts; review associated account reconciliations on an as needed basis
  • Partner with the Technical Accounting group to provide appropriate guidance on complex transactions including hedging activities, debt issuances, M&A transactions, and pension accounting as applicable.
  • Establish and/or monitor internal controls over treasury accounting processes and systems
  • Understand cash management strategies of Global Treasury including business purpose behind all transactions, and assist with cash flow forecasting in select areas

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or country equivalent)
  • CPA preferred
  • 2 plus years of experience in a Treasury Accounting specific function
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, manage through complexity and change
  • Superior written and oral communication skills to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in a team environment, time-management and problem-solving skills a must

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $72,000 to $99,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
