Job Description
Summary
Responsible for the management of the freight claims process, resolving freight bill inquiries, and helping with other fleet administration, analysis, and system support:
Manage freight claims process from start to end.
Find reporting issues, file claims, and drive accountability in carrier tracking platform.
Support carrier tracking platform implementations and reporting as needed.
Utilize and improve the use of claims processing platform; EZClaim.
Submit and track claims and recovery.
Analyze freight claims trends.
Communicate and collaborate with vendors, customers, and various departments (Sales, Accounting, and Credit) to resolve freight claims.
Develop a continuous improvement plan to reduce customer credits, reduce claims, and improve claim recovery process.
Navigate the negotiation process with carriers to maximize freight cost recovery for UPS, LTL, Final-Mile, and Truckload.
Audit carrier OS&D reports to improve accuracy.
Cross-train in freight quotes, shipping (expediting), and load planning.
Support Edward Don fleet administration, as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
External Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of related transportation/logistics experience OR High School diploma/Equivalent with 3-5 years of experience. Prior freight claims experience preferred. Must have excellent communication skills, time management skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel, Word) and ability to work independently (or collaboratively) to accomplish Transportation and Operational objectives.
Preferred: SAP experience is a plus. Experience with Concise is a plus. Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
