Department OverviewIT Systems and Technical operations.Job DescriptionAdministers the technical operation of Motorola Solutions servers, applications, networks, databases, and associated hardware. Evaluates, procures, installs, and upgrades hardware, software, and applications. Ensures the performance, accuracy, quality, integrity, and security of Motorola Solutions technical environment.

Responsibilities:*Administer technical assistance throughout the factory*Ensure accuracy, quality, and performance *Working knowledge of operations in Unix/Linux operating system*Unix Shell scripting experience*Printer setup and troubleshooting*Coordinate with other teams for print queue setup in Windows/Unix/Linux operating system*Create and Maintain printer related information for the factory*Create and Maintain setup documents for different printers throughout the factory*Create and Design product labels and other labels for the factory and IT*Understanding of Software and programming languages*Zebra printer language ZPL II*Perform preventative maintenance on printers and related equipment according to processes and procedures for IT

Preferred Skills:*Great communication skills verbal and written*4 plus years of experience working in a IT or Technical environment*Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time*Working knowledge of various software and hardware utilized in IT*Ability to repair and troubleshoot multiple devices preferred*IT or Technical certifications preferred

Candidates must reside in the Chicagoland or Elgin area to be considered.Basic Requirements

Required Skills:

* Associates or Bachelor's degree in IT, Networking or Technology* 4 plus years of experience as an IT Systems Specialist or Information Systems Specialist required.* Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
