This department typically works Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly managing 5 associates on the payment group team.

Summary - Ensuring that all team tasks are performed in a timely manner. Report the status of the team to the Dept Head on a formal basis. Considered to be the "go to" person on the job.

The payment team is responsible for issuing payoff letters and posting the payoff funds when received. Handling all loan payment Auto transfer setups/changes/cancelations, daily verification of the prior day input of core file maintenance, Installment loan collateral perfection, and on-going customer service to clients as well as support for branches & call center on loan items. This associate also conducts new associate orienting and ongoing training for the staff.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Daily Tasks:

  • Be a strong manager of the Payment Team-coordinating workflow.
  • Approve proof tickets, wires up to $750,000.00 and sign Cashier's checks per current limit assigned.
  • Ensure the Input Verification & Finishing of Days folders are completed within 8 business days of the dated work.
  • Approve RC Fee reversals & IL & ML late charge waived/reversed.
  • Ensure Dept. Voicemail Messages are Retrieved.
  • Ensure the Daily Schedule worksheet is Updated First thing each morning.
  • Ensure the report "TCs 174 Run Yesterday" has been worked to verify any 174 were posted w 176
  • Ensure the report "RCs 068 Run Yesterday" report- verify billing bucket & formula accuracy after 068.
  • Ensure the HELOC 087 Report has been run and signed off on.
  • Ensure the VANCO Exchange Returns Report has been verified.
  • Resolve Credit Bureau Issues.
  • When Dept Head is absent, sort and handle that mail.
  • Verify Team printer & Dept. scanner/copier has no sensitive data on or near efore leaving for the day.
  • Ensure input folders are gathered for Audit to review - as needed.
  • Assist team with the numerous tasks they perform.
  • Assist team with customer issues.

Weekly:

  • Produce the CL, IL, ML & RVC Miscellaneous Report, update IL, ML & RVC items on report and when finished by other Team Mgrs, forward to Dept Head.
  • Monitor Workday for team and approve weekly and absent times.
  • Ensure the PMI Escrow Spreadsheet is balanced every Friday.

Monthly:

  • Ensure the TEST Accounts of Minnie Mouse & Eugene O'Neil's Due dates are advanced.
  • Ensure the PMI Escrow Spreadsheet is balanced.
  • Ensure the report CHARGE OFF OPEN LOC 2019 to verify the RCs that are in Non-Accrual/Charge Off status are frozen to advances and the Undisbursed Amount is 0.00 was run.
  • Approve the NCP coupon bill before it is sent to accounting.
  • Ensure the Credit Bureau report generates & Investigate Credit Bureau Exception Report items.
  • Obtain & work Credit Bureau Equifax, Experian, Innovis & Trans Union Metric Reports and work items
  • Log in to Equifax, Experian, Innovis, Trans Union & NCP to keep your password current.
  • Verify TRIAD Title Report has reasons why titles are not yet perfected.
  • Attend the meetings with CSI Rep.

Quarterly:

  • Prepare the Associate Reviews, submit them to the Dept. Head for review & Conduct Associate reviews.

Annually:

  • Review team procedures to ensure all are updated & signed off.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required for this position:

  • Ability to supervise, mentor and coach the team with compassion, empathy and live Centier's Culture and Values
  • Ability to multi-task and set own work aside to help whoever comes with questions.
  • The willingness to put in the extra time to get the job done.
  • Ability to problem-solve and see different sides of an issue to make a best judgment or course of action.
  • Highly Detailed and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Courteous and sincere communication skills- written and verbal.
  • Advanced understanding of the CSI core loan system, or other cores is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge and use of Excel and Word is a must.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of loan servicing experience or experience in banking or loan related environment - preferred
  • 2 years' experience of supervision of direct reports
  • Bachelor's degree in a banking related area of study or comparable related experience preferred.
