Job Description
Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: North Chicago, Illinois, 60064
Contract: 6 months

To provide multi craft, skilled maintenance support to Client's Lake County Facility, Utility, Manufacturing and R & D assets.

* 12 hours day shift, 4 on 4 off (6am - 630pm)
* Adhere to Client's code of conduct and safety policies
* Assits in root cause investigation and reliability centered maintenance analysis
* Capable of training others on tasks
* Intermediate Computer skills (MS Office)
* Fully proficient in their core function, performing advanced level tasks
* Assist Cross functional Teams outside of the maintenance organization
* Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site
* Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations
* Maintains the function of department assets to ensure production goals and quality standards are met
* Independently performs senior level maintenance work including but not limited to; machine lubrication, inspection, troubleshooting, ordering & installation of partsrepair and fabrication
* Performs Preventative Maintenance on all plant equipment including air handlers, untility distribution equipment located throughout the plant. Will perform predictie maintenance where applicable
* Performs light machining work on machine lathes and milling machines, etc to make basic shafts and cut keyways, etc.
* Work as a multi-skilled tradesperson, doing electrical, pipefitting, building maintenance and/or other work on special assignments ans requested by management
* Assists/participates during Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis
* Accurately documents all maintenance activity in CMMS
* Assists in ensuring that GxP and safe work policies and procedures are followe and maintained at all times in accordance with established company policies.
* Lifting up to 50lbs

Years of experience/education and/or certifications required:
* Associates degree, college certificate, or formal apprenticeship and 5+ years of work experience related to any of the following: mechanical trades, electrical up to 13kv, PLC/Controls, Instrumentation, welding, machining, fabrication.

Skills:
* Must demonstrate proficiency in multiple skilled trade disciplines as defined by the department skills matrix including Predictive Maintenance Technologies
* Knowledge and ability to apply proper hand tools in an industrial setting
* Knowledge of related cGMP requirement and applicable safety regulations
* Knowledge and ability to use power tools (such as electric drills, drill press, saws, grinders, pneumatic and hydraulic tools)
* Abiltiy to accurately use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, scales)
* Intermediate computer skills (MS Suite)
* Solid written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have:
* Maximo (CMMS)
* PDM/Reliability

Work Environment:
* Both Individual and group
* Chemical Process plant (depends on building location they are in.
o PPE - Steel toe shoes. Everything else provided by Client

Work Schedule:
* 4x12 rotating schedule, 6am - 630pm (shift over one day each week)

Domestic and/or International Travel:
* Within campus via UTV
