Job Summary:

The Senior Program Director, Open Enrollment Programs, is part of a dynamic team at the Kellogg School of Management, one of the world's top-ranked business schools. This role sits in Executive Education and is part of a growing program design team which successfully builds and delivers hundreds of programs annually to fortune 500 companies globally. This role is specifically responsible for a portfolio of programs delivered in person and live virtual that will require engagement with corporate clients, learning and development teams, as well as senior leaders in companies to deliver learning experiences that advance their business goals and objectives.

To achieve this, the Senior Program Director will work closely with peer departments including Business Development, Operations, Kellogg faculty, and practitioners. This role requires an individual that is seasoned in working in matrixed, multifaceted teams as well as is creative in problem solving and coordinating resources across a complex set of stakeholders. Strong communication skills, business acumen, executive presence, and flexibility are key to working across diverse groups and audiences. Responsible for planning, development, execution, and evaluation of a portfolio of Kellogg Executive Education custom programs. Experience in corporate L&D, consulting, marketing, and change management is preferred.

Specific Responsibilities:

Program Design and Development

  • The Senior Program Director, Open Enrollment Programs, simultaneously leads multiple client engagement & service teams on a per program basis, including direct mentoring and leadership for Program Directors.
  • Serve as a senior interface with (external) corporate clients for the development and delivery of custom learning programs; collaborate with C-suite executives in client organizations and/or their learning and development teams to conduct in-depth organizational needs assessments, identify program objectives, and oversee program design and execution.
  • Develop and articulate learning objectives and goals that guide the development of programs for Executive Education clients and deliver a best-in-class experience for participants.
  • Coordinate with the Executive Education Business Development team to understand client organizations and their executive development needs and identify learning solutions strategies.
  • Provide guidance in the selection of cases and other program materials. Invites and schedules the faculty for each program in their portfolio.
  • Oversee program planning and architecture, including managing complex program designs, varied stakeholder interests, and conflicting stakeholder priorities.
  • Collaborate with Managing Director of Program Development on final curriculum and matters related to program planning, development, execution, and evaluation.

Program Delivery

  • Oversee all aspects of program delivery, both onsite and offsite.
  • Serve as senior executive leader for learning events whether onsite, offsite, or leading online program communities, including highlighting points of importance in schedule (i.e., cases, events, guest speaker, etc.) and participating in program activities such as meals, special outings, and corporate visits.
  • Understand faculty offerings in executive education and communicate them to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate program objectives to C-suite and senior executives.
  • Responsible for ensuring program continuity and satisfactory customer experience through engagement with participants.
  • Communicate with senior Kellogg faculty for ongoing or midstream adjustments to program content.
  • Assure faculty preparation for program specific matters, such as participant profiles, learning priorities, and providing guidance for any necessary presentation modifications.
  • Lead complex teams to create best in class program delivery, including working with external conference centers, hotels, IT services and online or web-based resources to assure seamless end-to-end experience for offsite programs.

Post Program

  • Gather and analyze program evaluations and feedback, including identifying methodologies for determining the ROI of professional development initiatives.
  • Debrief and share feedback with faculty and Managing Director of Program Development in order to identify areas of potential improvement.
  • Identify modifications of content, format, and faculty to enhance future sessions.

Program Innovation

  • Research and assess external executive development resources such as coaches, speakers, learning technologies, assessments, and tools.
  • Other duties as assigned including supervisory oversight of administrative work and budgeting all phases of program development and delivery.

Minimum Qualifications: (Education, experience, and any other certifications or clearances)

  • Master's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired.
  • 10 - 12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Considerable experience in corporate Learning & Development, consulting, executive and management development, or related fields.
  • Leadership experience, relationship management experience, budgeting experience, and managing complex teams or equivalent experience.
  • Curiosity about business trends, innovative practices, and higher education.

Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong executive presence, and ability to communicate effectively with professionals ranging from C-suite executives to frontline managers.
  • Skilled in analytical thinking, problem solving, decision-making, organization, presentation, and customer service.
  • Ability to design, develop, and oversee delivery of educational programs.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with a cross-functional team and encourage cooperation from divergent stakeholders including C-suite executives, corporate clients and senior, tenured faculty.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications: (Education and experience)

  • Experience creating innovative learning experiences, training, and people development in corporate sector and/or higher education.
  • Experience partnering with others to develop curriculum in corporate environment and/or higher education settings
  • Experience in cross-cultural work environments.
  • Corporate Learning & Development experience preferred
  • PhD or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired.

Target hiring range for this position will be between $120,000 - 140,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
