  • Full Time
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
  • Hybrid Role
  • Required Travel: YES occasional travel to any Endeavor Health sites & facilities will be required


A Brief Overview:
Provides system-wide training, optimizing, and support to clinical users on functions, features, operation, and usage of clinical information systems. Analyzes and revises existing system workflows and difficulties and provides efficiency opportunities and documentation as necessary. Acts as the liaison between Information Technology and clinicians to provide an understanding of the clinical system's capabilities.

What you will do:

  • Provides organization-wide end user support to clinicians on software applications specifically designed for provider or clinical use. Promotes the acceptance, integration and adoption of electronic medical record specific software applications i.e., documentation, order management, voice-recognition, e-prescribing, customization tools, etc.
  • Under supervision, conducts training in various settings including one to one, classroom, small group settings, large group settings on the applications of Epic, other 3rd party providers' applications, and related workflow processes to facilitate learning of basic and specialized applications. Monitors the effectiveness of the training provided.
  • Works with the hospital community to inform and educate new and/or updates to current technology and to seek their input regarding future enhancements. Identifies & coordinates new processes, system functionality, system changes and enhancements to support clinical information and meet business needs. Maintains knowledge of base system changes.
  • Communicates in various instructional methods, e.g., printed materials, e-Learning, newsletters, department meetings, etc.
  • Acts as a liaison with Information Systems, other hospital departments and outside vendors on issues related to systems and applications. Listens to business needs expressed by customers. Takes initiative and ownership of issues, is responsible, organized and efficient, and focused on goals. Analyzes problems and takes corrective action. Documents observations and issues identified by clinical staff, concisely and accurately describes issues or enhancement suggestions.
  • Responds to and monitors service requests, diagnoses, troubleshoots and coordinates resolution of technical problems and information technology issues related to the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Analyzes situations in the clinical environment to resolve technical problems.
  • Demonstrates a positive, open minded, can do attitude. Represents willingness/enthusiasm to embrace and facilitate change. Ability to prioritize requests, and quickly respond. Defuses stressful situations and utilizes defining moments as learning opportunities.
  • Monitors and acts upon statistics regarding clinical usage and adoption of EMR workflows. Maintains awareness of trends in clinical staff usage and targets users or clinical areas for improvement opportunities and/or need for additional training.
  • Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and adheres to quality guidelines with limited discretion to vary from established procedures

What you will need:

  • Associates Degree Computer and Information Science Required
  • Bachelors Degree Preferred
  • 3 Years healthcare operations experience with a solid understanding of appropriate workflows, plus...
  • 1 Year Previous experience in adult education

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Effective written, oral, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to travel to all Endeavor facilities is required and candidate will periodically need to work some nights and weekends to support implementations and new system users.
