Opportunity at a Glance


The Business Process Expert position manages projects across multiple teams and institutions. The individual in this role is charged with working closely with functional groups and technical staff to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of solutions in support of business goals and objectives. The role requires strong partnership with business stakeholders to drive project delivery through exemplary process design/improvement/management skills using proven best practice techniques and project management methodologies.


Responsibilities

  • Leads a variety of project teams during various stages of the project to define, analyze, document and publish detailed project plans that include key activities timelines, resource and information exchange requirements needed to achieve project objectives. Additionally assesses benefits post-project to report success and/or reassess next steps.
  • Leads stakeholder briefings, progress status reporting, definition of measures, and generation of project ideas.
  • Builds and maintains relationships across the enterprise and understands at a high level what initiatives are moving forward in other areas of the organization.
  • Conducts business systems process analysis and needs assessments in an effort to identify business process improvements.
  • Coordinates User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of respective department functions.
  • Communicates with project teams after UAT execution to inform them of results, including any issues, problems or risks with the process or application.
  • Leads multiple projects simultaneously, creates and updates documented project plans, monitors, and reports progress to ensure that required work is delivered on time.
  • Works closely with all stakeholders to ensure smooth "go live" when new systems or processes are moved into production.
  • Ensures that policies are examined for the benefits provided and impediments removed when possible; ensures that the quality of data and conclusions are justified.
  • Ensures that project team members work together to define business processes, recommend system configuration, and project manage their development as needed.
  • Develops and maintains a solid knowledge of the various enterprise applications and business processes.
  • Ensures that a change management process occurs throughout the organization such that the full benefits of innovation are realized, and it embraces principles of continuous improvement.
  • Archives project documentation, test results and any relevant information according tobusiness standards and processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business or another related field required.
  • Experience in organizing, facilitation and leading project teams to effectively achieve desired and timely results.
  • Experience with IT systems analysis and design preferred.
  • Subject Matter Expert on institutional policies and procedures managed by the respective support department required.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail.
  • 3 years of experience in change management, project management, process improvement and implementation required.
  • Excellent organization skills: ability to manage tasks and projects.
  • Strong functional ability to facilitate process driven discussions, process map and support policy related change.
  • Software skills required (Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio and Outlook).
  • Demonstrated success establishing clear priorities to achieve business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build effective relationships with institutional partners.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision and direction.
Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $59,923 and $108,334. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
