Vice President, FP&A

Location: St. Paul, MN or U.S.A remote

The Vice President, Corporate Finance will report directly to the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for playing a pivotal role in driving the financial planning and analysis function across the organization, providing critical insights and guidance to support strategic decision-making, optimize performance, and maximize shareholder value. The position collaborates closely with the CEO, Executive leaders, Finance leaders and business partners to support and drive profitable growth.

Position responsibilities include:

30% Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive FP&A strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives, ensuring agility and responsiveness to evolving business dynamics and market trends.
  • Provide in-depth analysis of financial performance, identifying key drivers, trends, and variances.
  • Translate financial data into actionable insights to support strategic decision-making and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of comprehensive financial reports, including monthly/quarterly management reports, board presentations, and investor communications.
  • Support the financial elements of the strategic planning process including developing and analyzing multi-year financial projections, balance sheet and cash flow estimates and ROIC targets.
  • Oversee the strategy for the One-Stream finance platform, including development and on-going administration.

20% Team Leadership and Development

  • Oversees the operations, strategic direction, and financial performance for corporate FP&A, corporate planning & operations as well as financial business intelligence.
  • Leads a team of 20+ direct/indirect senior level professionals, employees located in U.S. and Europe
  • Hire, train and develop a high-performing FP&A team, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and accountability within the FP&A function.

15% Business Intelligence and Data Analytics

  • Set the strategic direction and vision for the Finance BI and Data Analytics team.
  • Acts as a liaison between the Finance BI and Data Analytics team and key stakeholders across the organization to understand stakeholders' data and analytics needs, communicate the team's capabilities and initiatives, and ensure alignment with business priorities.
  • Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and planning for the Finance BI and Data Analytics team, ensuring adequate staffing, technology infrastructure, and financial resources to support the team's objectives and deliverables.

15% Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with business units and functional leaders to establish realistic financial targets.
  • Develop robust forecasting models and methodologies to facilitate accurate projections and scenario planning.

10% Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Foster strong partnerships with key stakeholders across the organization, including finance, accounting, operations, sales, and executive leadership.
  • Leverage cross-functional insights to enhance decision-making and drive business performance.

10% Process Optimization

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance FP&A processes, systems, and tools.
  • Streamline workflows, automate manual tasks, and implement best practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related area (Accounting, Finance, Business, etc.)
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis; 7-10 years of finance management experience or Master's degree in related areas with at least 10 years of related experience including at least 7 years of finance management experience
  • Leadership experience at least 7 years managing a finance team.
  • Experience in financial reporting, forecasting, and planning, ideally with prior experience working in a Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team at a senior leader level in a large, multi-national company
  • Possess a strategic approach, sound business judgment, and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, financial analysis, and commercial finance concepts
  • Must possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills to coach, motivate, and develop geographically dispersed teams
  • Must possess excellent analytical skills to ensure accurate preparation and reporting of financial results
  • Effective leading in complex and ambiguous situations
  • Experience in designing and implementing strong processes and systems in complex organizations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Travel- 10-20% average, both domestic and international
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Requirements:

  • MBA preferred, CPA or CFA designation a plus

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is Commensurate with experience.
