Health Solutions Large Market Segment Leader - U.S.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from one of our Aon offices in the United States.

What the day will look like

As the Health Solutions Large Market (hereafter LM) Segment Leader for the U.S., you will be responsible for leadership, growth, retention, and talent strategies for our LM segment (> 5,000 lives and above), reporting directly to the North America Health Solutions Leader.

Using your leadership skills, you will guide colleagues to deliver exceptional results for our clients and our business, driving both top and bottom-line financial success within the segment. This will take shape by driving client management throughout the segment to ensure client satisfaction, profitability, and excellence in delivery; providing strategic leadership on new business pursuits; championing our efforts to integrate across Aon's full solution suite (Aon United); establishing and implementing a talent development agenda to increase colleague engagement and retention; and handling an ongoing pipeline of senior talent in the industry.

Leadership and Strategy

  • Develop LM Strategy and Blueprint for the next 3+ years
  • Lead strategy for the LM to deliver a best-in-class value proposition
  • Contribute toward the shared goals of North America Health Solutions and Human Capital.
  • Keep a pulse on emerging business opportunities for LM clients
  • Partner with and advise Innovation team during evaluation and development of new products and solutions
  • Find opportunities for change and improvement, and inspire changes forward
  • Drive growth of the LM in conjunction with the National Sales Leader for Health Solutions; collaborate with sales channels across other Solution Lines (Commercial Risk, Retirement, Reinsurance, and Data and Analytics)
  • Lead strategy for the LM to deliver revenue growth and increased market share
  • Lead LM client efforts around:
    • Retention and Client Satisfaction
    • New Logo and New Penetration sales
    • Rollover & Recovery
  • Partner with other Aon Client Leaders (e.g. Enterprise Client Group, etc.) to drive revenue growth and strategies to acquire new clients and grow existing clients
  • Collaborate with all Health Leaders including Sales, Strategic Account Management, Innovation, Actuarial, Broking to support large market clients.

Talent Management

  • Drive colleague experience and learning agenda for LM focused colleagues
  • Find opportunities and challenges across client portfolio, and partner with Regional Practice Leaders and LM Account Executives and producer community
  • Drive accountability across LM Account Executives to meet and achieve growth and retention goals
  • Build out the LM community
  • Evaluate talent and inspire change as needed

Innovation & Thought Leadership

  • Advise solution development and specialty teams to ensure solutions are meeting the needs to the LM
  • Proactively build strategic external partnerships and leverage relationships to fulfill client needs
  • Collaborate with Thought Leadership team to support Health Solutions point of view and ensure the LM clients are well represented

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 15 years of relevant work experience with LM clients.
  • Knowledgeable of Health and Benefits products, services and solutions
  • Proven track record in developing and carrying out client and sales growth
  • Experience leading a multi-market, dispersed workforce
  • Proven track record to identify and retain top talent
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel (from 50-75%)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in related fields (Business, Finance, HR).
  • Master's degree/MBA preferred.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $260,000 to $350,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
