Overview: Responsible for overseeing the development, launch, and management of products in global markets. Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, engineering, and operations, to ensure the successful execution of product strategies and initiatives. Primary objective will be to drive growth and profitability by identifying market opportunities, understanding customer needs, and delivering innovative solutions that meet or exceed expectations.

Job Summary (International Sales Manager):

As the International Sales Manager at Norris Sucker Rods, you will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence globally. You'll be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with distributors, and leveraging sales channels effectively. Your technical expertise in sucker rod design will be essential in understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions.

Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Develop and execute aggressive business development strategies to penetrate new markets and increase revenue.
  • Identify growth opportunities, evaluate market trends, and create action plans to capitalize on them.
  • Prospect and secure new clients, partnerships, and distribution channels.

Technical Expertise:

  • Possess a deep understanding of sucker rod design, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure alignment between customer requirements and product offerings.
  • Provide technical guidance to customers, distributors, and internal teams.

Sales Channel Management:

  • Manage existing sales channels, including distributors, agents, and representatives.
  • Optimize channel performance by monitoring sales metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing improvements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with channel partners.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with regional sales teams, distributors, and geo markets to align sales strategies.
  • Coordinate product launches, promotions, and training sessions.
  • Facilitate communication between different stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.

Market Analysis and Intelligence:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers, competitors, and emerging trends.
  • Analyze market data to make informed decisions and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and regulatory changes.

Sales Targets and Reporting:

  • Set ambitious sales targets and monitor progress regularly.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for senior management.
  • Evaluate performance against KPIs and take corrective actions as needed.

Market Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute global market strategies for theChampionX line of Sucker Rods, Couplings and Guidesproduct line.
  • Conduct thorough market research, including direct interactions with new and prospective customers (Voice of Customer - VOC).
  • Align product offerings with market needs and trends.

Product Line Development:

  • Manage the product line development roadmap, including specific stage gates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, finance, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain) to ensure successful product launches.
  • Ensure timely readiness of products for market introduction.

Marketing and Collateral:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to create effective collateral materials and impactful product releases.
  • Provide input on pricing strategies and promotional campaigns.

Global Distribution Network:

  • Ensure efficient channels to reach customers worldwide.

Training and Customer Engagement:

  • Conduct training courses for internal employees and external customers.
  • Represent the product line in customer-facing interactions.
  • Responsible for all training materials and customer-facing collateral.

Technical Expertise and Sales Support:

  • Serve as the technical expert for the sales team.
  • Be the first point of contact for sales discussions, addressing product features and benefits.
  • Support the selling process by providing technical insights.

Education, Licensing and Certifications:

Required

  • Four-year college or university degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field

Preferred

  • MBA or advanced degree in related field preferred

Experience:

Required

  • Six or more years of relevant experience in sales management
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products in international markets
  • Strong understanding of global market dynamics, cultural differences, and regulatory requirements
  • Two or more years of experience in international oil & gas industry
