Job Description

Responsible for shaping the data enterprise strategy and vision for the human resources - people analytics team, while leading a team of data engineers and specialists. Oversee and maintain the team data warehouse and visualization environment. This role will collaborate closely with functional leaders and engage with leaders across various business domains to facilitate and implement high quality, data-driven decision-making processes.

** Remote position with potential for occasional travel.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of an enterprise data warehouse solution to manage people analytics data
  • Manage a team of engineers, nurturing their growth and ensuring delivery of key projects
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand data needs and help build visualization tools
  • Ability to translate business needs into data models to support scalable and reliable solutions
  • Establish robust data governance practices and compliance frameworks to maintain data quality.
  • Continuous improvement of our data infrastructure keeping up with technological advances

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline

Experience Requirements:

  • Typically requires 5+ years of experience leading data organization & visualization efforts. Experience in data warehouse and data governance. Experience with data integration tools.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Proficiency in data engineering tools and technologies
  • Expert coding skills in languages commonly used in data engineering (SQL, R, Python, etc.)
  • Experience in data modeling, database design, and data architecture
  • Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • HRIS and Workday experience a big plus
  • Proven data engineering leadership experience in a managerial or supervisory role
  • Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to drive projects with minimum supervision
