Job Title: Senior Director Information Security Identity and Access Management KCO IT

Position Overview:

The Senior Director of Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, implementation, and management of all aspects related to identity and access management within the organization. This individual will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer and lead a team of professionals to ensure the security, efficiency, and integrity of the organization's identity and access systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive IAM strategy aligned with the organization's overall business objectives. This includes assessing current systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance identity and access management capabilities.

2. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to a team of IAM professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team. Build interdependent teams that collaborate across functional and operating groups to create the highest value for all stakeholders.

3. Identity Governance: Establish and maintain robust identity governance processes and procedures to ensure appropriate access controls, user provisioning, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Implement identity lifecycle management processes to manage user identities throughout their lifecycle.

4. Access Management: Oversee access management activities, including authentication, authorization, and single sign-on (SSO) solutions. Implement controls to mitigate security risks associated with privileged access and ensure appropriate access levels based on job roles and responsibilities.

5. Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to identity and access management, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and NIST guidelines. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and address compliance gaps.

6. Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Evaluate, select, and implement IAM technologies and solutions that align with the organization's needs and objectives. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in IAM to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

7. Risk Management: Assess IAM-related risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to protect the organization's sensitive information and assets. Collaborate with other cybersecurity and risk management functions to ensure a holistic approach to security. Act as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders.

8. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, cybersecurity, legal, and business units, to ensure alignment of IAM initiatives with organizational goals and priorities. Communicate effectively with executive leadership and board members on IAM-related matters. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders for making business decisions and implementing strategic initiatives.

9. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IAM vendors and service providers, including contract negotiation, service level agreements (SLAs), and vendor performance evaluation. Ensure vendors adhere to security and compliance requirements.

10. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of IAM processes, systems, and controls. Monitor industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or related field.

- Proven experience (10+ years) in identity and access management roles, with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.

- Deep understanding of IAM principles, technologies, and best practices, including identity governance, access management, authentication, and authorization.

- Experience managing complex IAM programs in large organizations, preferably in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or government.

- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve excellence.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and a focus on delivering business value.

- Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM) are a plus.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $208,000 - $312,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentive .
