What You Will Do:

  • Manage all sales activities and results for Plunger Lift in the Permian region.
  • Manage the sales of company products and services for Plunger and Automation product lines.
  • Develop the skills and talents of the sales team by providing training programs for current and new sales staff.
  • Develop and implement sales objectives, strategies, and ensure their execution; establish and implement sales plans to support all target markets; achieve sales goals associated with revenue and profit targets.
  • Trains new and existing customers and champions the use of sales tools and customer relationship management systems.
  • Provide reporting on forecasts, budgets, and sales performance.
  • Identify and recommend new growth opportunities.
  • Meet with key clients and perform annual key account reviews.
  • Know and enforce compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Drive and contribute to the department's continuous improvement culture.
  • Coach and mentor one or two levels of direct reports; assign work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance and provides feedback to direct reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all matters.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Recommend or approve budget, expenditures, and appropriations for research and development work.
  • Prepare sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four-year college or university degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Valid driver's license in state of residence.
  • Ability to use a customer relationship management (CRM) system (i.e. SalesForce.com).
  • Good understanding of oil and gas industry, in terms of flowing well characteristics, plunger lift and company plunger lift equipment, systems applications, communication systems, and open architecture hosting systems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to use customer relationship management (CRM) system, i.e. SalesForce.com.
  • Ability to motivate others.
  • Able to act strategically.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry.

Physical Demands:

  • Role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Employee is required to regularly walk in customer field locations which may include inclines, uneven surfaces, and a variety of weather conditions.
  • Employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to shoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.
