Position Title: Sr. Manager, Corporate Communications

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia

Description:

The Sr. Manager, Corporate Communications drives the development and successful execution of communications strategies. This position creates communications plans, key messages and content in support of business priorities, and drives successful execution and implementation. Ability to provide communications counsel, exceptional writing ability and attention to detail/quality are required. This position is based in Alpharetta, GA, USA and reports to the CHRO.

responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development of communication plans, key messages and content for the enterprise in alignment with Mativ priorities
  • Develop effective communications plans that align goals and objectives to enterprise messaging in support of the companys aspiration, purpose, values and strategic framework
  • Provide strategic counsel, design and support to senior executive leaders in both the development and implementation of employee communications plans
  • Develop and implement change management communications plans in support of organizational priorities and identified business outcomes
  • Serve as strategic partner and provide program direction for various corporate programs and matters
  • Lead the planning, presentation development and successful execution of communications deliverables for key internal and external events, programs and projects
  • Deliver innovative and creative messaging that incorporates a broad range of communications mediums while interweaving consistent themes
  • Create comprehensive communication strategies that focus on, and strengthen, associate engagement
  • Drive execution of routine communication touchpoints (virtual town hall meetings, webinars, focus groups, emails, intranet communications, associate events, newsletters and related internal communications) aligned with enterprise priorities
  • Lead and execute employee engagement survey in partnership with external vendor
  • Partner with leaders and HR on action planning and execution of solutions to drive positive behavior in support of employee engagement
  • Support development of various communications strategies and channels
  • Align supporting resources to ensure the delivery of high-quality content (e.g. market research, creative teams, production resources)
  • Serve and collaborate as strategic partner and consultant to internal stakeholders
  • Additional projects as assigned

qualifications:

Required

  • BA/BS in Journalism, Communications, English or Marketing
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate communications
  • Critical thinker/analytical skills/business acumen
  • Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to build rapport with leaders and influence others to ensure successful execution of communication strategies and plans
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to develop detailed-oriented approaches to driving measurable performance outcomes
  • Synthesizes and presents complex information in a clear and compelling manner to engage internal audiences
  • Translates corporate priorities into messaging that drives strategic execution
  • Proficient in AP style
  • Must be adaptable to change, driven, energetic and a self-starter
  • Must be a resourceful problem-solver, thorough, curious, committed and engaged
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality communications deliverables under tight deadlines
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, effective team player and collaborator
  • Experience developing a variety of content types (e.g., scripts, infographics, video, etc.)
  • Must have experience communicating with a global workforce
  • Experience in managing confidential/sensitive information
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a focus on planning, setting priorities, and managing process through completion including meeting commitments and measuring effectiveness of programs
  • Ability to manage project budgets and timelines
