The Morton Arboretum is a world-renowned nonprofit dedicated to protecting and growing trees locally and globally. We are seeking someone to lead the day-to-day operations of facilities and events programs in alignment with the Arboretum's mission. You'll be part of a great team working together to make the Arboretum exceptional.
Position Summary:Lead Arboretum and contracted staff with facilities and events related matters, including layout diagrams, and event set-up and tear-down scheduling. Assist the daily operations and perform a variety of duties, primarily housekeeping tasks, relating to the maintenance and appearance of Arboretum buildings.
Essential Functions:
Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 4+ years of full-time experience in custodial work preferred. Knowledge of the fundamental techniques of building maintenance required. Experience in an office setting is preferred. Ability to service and handle the basic tools, equipment, and materials used in custodial work required. May have exposure to bloodborne pathogens as a result of job duties. Optional vaccination (Hepatitis B vaccine) will be made available. Certification in First Aid and CPR preferred (classes provided). Must possess a valid driver's license, which is subject to insurability and an annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. Must be able to obtain OSHA forklift certification; forklift experience preferred. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google applications, and scheduling software is beneficial.

Currently, the expected hiring range is between $20-23/hour based on experience that will be evaluated during the candidate selection process, along with internal equity.
